Solent Showcase was the first major addition to Southampton’s emerging culture and arts district. The gallery strives to encourage engagement, discussion and participation across the entire local community.
This was a rather exceptional campaign. It wasn’t so much about promotion but about bringing people from different walks of life in Southampton together. As part of a wider project for Kev Munday’s (artist) residency at Solent Showcase Gallery, he worked with children from the Polygon School to create pieces of art to create a highly impactful visual message. As well as being drawn in the gallery, they were used on billboards in Southampton.
The booking process was “Very easy, we worked with Paul closely to develop what we needed and it went very smoothly.
We chose the panels because of their location to the schools that we worked with on the project. Panel one was Bullar Way and Panel two: Ocean Village opposite South Western House”
“The panels were a work of art. We received coverage in the local press because of the billboards and 25% increase in our social media.
This was a highly successful and unusual project that we would like to repeat if possible”
