Client Objectives

Lumen app had multiple objectives; to increase user growth, to reach as many people as possible and to deliver a powerful campaign message. Their Co-Founder, Antoine, felt that Clear Channel’s Out-of-home would achieve this due to the effectiveness of OOH and its ability to target numerous regions.

The Campaign

Lumen app’s campaign journey all started from a single billboard in Clapham, London and due to the flirtatious nature of the creative, soon became a topical talking-point across the UK.

The famous ‘Sexy Santa’ Christmas campaign created huge PR which “exploded everywhere in the media” – leading to additional billboards; further enhancing the campaign.

The Results

The results of Lumen app’s campaign were fantastic. The creation of PR and mass media exposure demonstrated how effective outdoor advertising can be. The fun, ‘sexy’ creative encapsulated everything about Lumen in one go and enabled Lumen to, not only meet their campaign objectives, but to ignite the mature dating market.
